A little about me. . .

Creative Designer and Paper Artist

Hi! I am a qualified graphic designer with over a decade of experience. I love my chosen profession so much that I work for a company full time and freelance in my spare time!

Sketches and brain storming ideas for a creative project

Working with me makes life easier for you. I take care of everything to ensure the whole design process runs smoothly. There is no need for you to know what an EPS file is or why your printer is asking for bleed. Choosing to work with me means you’re dealing directly with the designer and not an account manager. I’m extremely passionate about what I do and have great attention to detail. I work in a day job where tight deadlines are normal, so I can complete urgent requests without a problem, please just send me a message to get started. I’ll also reply to emails as quickly as possible and be available to speak to you at any time.

A lot of creatives often seem to speak a different language, but I’ll explain everything I do in plain English, there’s no need for unnecessary tech talk! Also, when you need to discuss a new project, my experience will be invaluable as I’m great at quickly getting to grips with what you want. I’ll assist you with any design work you need – from business cards, flyers, brochures, WIX web design or paper made flowers and invites.

I quote per project and not per hour so with me you will know exactly how much you’re going to pay so there are no cheeky surprises down the line. I don’t have all the overheads of a design agency and I can offer great value for money and work with budgets of all sizes.

How does a typical project work?

Lets Talk

Most of my client’s message me over email or Facebook. A quick discussion that gives me information about client ideas, about the company, colour schemes, target audience etc. Some clients like to give a lot of information if they have a specific idea and others just a name and maybe a couple of colours they like. I am flexible and can work in either scenario.

Quote

I will return with a quote based on the information given plus any other information I feel is relevant. For example, business cards often require a design fee and a printing fee (based on quantity required). All my quotes are free with no obligation. Once the quote has been accepted, I require a minimum of a part payment of 50% upfront, this can be done via PayPal or bank transfer

Design

Now for the fun part, I go away and get creative with the information that has been provided. Some projects such as logo designs will mean I design a few options for clients to choose from, others such as flyers and brochures will have one design that can be tweaked later on. Paper designs are one-off custom pieces, that will not disappoint.

Revision

An opportunity for the client to review and make any changes to the design I have provided. This is the time that colours are tweaked, fonts changed, and spelling is checked! I include 2 FREE revisions for each project I do. In my experience I don’t normally need more than those 2 revisions before I get to a design that the client is happy with!

Completion

Revisions will pass back and forth until the client is 100% happy with their design, once approved a final file is created and it is time to pay the remaining balance if the client has not done so already. Once all of the above is completed the design is yours and will be sent to you in any file format you require.

Handmade Quilled Wall Art
Paper Origami Flower Bouquet
I’ve always had an interest in paper from the time we visited a paper mill on a school trip many moons ago!

I fell in love with crafting paper related presents when a friend asked me to make her something unique she couldn’t buy on the high street that she could put in her new home. This was when I discovered the art of quilling and I have been experimenting with it ever since.

My fascination with paper origami flowers was born from an obsession to create something different for Mothers Day one year, I perfected the art of making kusudama paper flowers and made a couple of vibrant bouquets from wrapping paper! I have had a love for paper flower making ever since and have created flowers for weddings, new babies, birthdays, anniversaries and well just because …..

I love paper and all things creative and try to craft whenever I get some spare time . . . each one of my paper presents is made lovingly by hand (sometimes with the help of my Cricut!).

Feel free to have a look around my website for the services that I offer from business card/flyer design to greeting cards and paper flower bouquets perfect for weddings, gifts or simply to brighten up your home with something different. Message me with any questions.
